Dogira Will Integrate Chainlink VRF to Secure Decentralized Game Event Generation
We’re excited to announce that Dogira — a company focused on creating blockchain gaming experiences,gaming ecosystems and utility based NFTs— will integrate Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on the Polygon blockchain. By integrating Chainlink’s industry-leading decentralized oracle network, we can obtain access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to provide an innovative and entertaining experience for players in our future games, one which is built from the ground up with decentralization in mind. Ultimately this creates a more exciting, transparent, and fraud-proof user experience, as users can rest assured that each new playthrough, encounter, or item is truly unique and enhanced with entropy from Chainlink VRF.
Chainlink VRF affords the Dogira team the opportunity to integrate blockchain-based technology into our products, whether it’s games, NFTs, or staking mechanics. Nearly everything in gaming relies on some sort of randomness — such as attack rolls, dodge chances, procedural map generation, enemy spawn rates, loot drops, loot rarity — and when we’re integrating that functionality into smart contracts, we need a tool that can make it fair, and immutable. Usually, this is obtained through a centralized server, which would essentially be opaque as far as players and community members are concerned. Not only is this difficult to verify as provably fair, but it allows for a central point of failure. Chainlink VRF allows us to be fully on-chain; granting us randomness as a service, alongside the added benefit of provable transparency, security and decentralization.
