On Ionic, users yield $ION by providing liquidity to Ionic’s markets and borrowing assets from it. $ION holders stake their $ION into incentivized Protocol Owned Liquidity Pools across DEX partners to earn additional yields in $ION, $VELO and $AERO.
While yielding from their positions, DEX LP tokens are locked into veION voting positions, used to increase emissions on pools of the holder’s choosing, both supply and borrow. This increases the $ION tokens emitted to your pool, thus increasing yields or reducing interest.
The emerging dynamics are profound. Protocols bootstrap lending pools for their users effectively, acquire POL faster and add utility to their token. Chains incentivize supply liquidity to bridge into their network efficiently, while users benefit from capital efficiency and higher yields. New strategies and potential Lending Wars can emerge.
$ION is traded on multiple pools with deep liquidity as a feature of its tokenomics. Fully KPI based, optimal vestings are adjusted based on market conditions and protocol growth.
